Im looking at a potential replacement motor for a sierra that has a G16b vit motor in it.
One of the motors I'm looking at is a late model 2000 baleno.

Im not into the wiring side of things, but I can't think of anything that would stop the baleno motor running from the vit loom thats in the sierra.
Can anyone think of any problems in doing this? There is a loom and ecu available if a new one is required.

You'll need to swap the cam and fit the inlet manifold and dizzy from the existing vitara installation, or swap the loom and computer from the baleno in order to use the baleno inlet manifold and cps rather than the dizzy.

You'd also need to modify the coolant hoses to use the baleno manifold.

Baleno is a superior computer and neater manifold, vitara is easier to fit.

I don't think my2000 balenos were immobilised in Australia. The one I wired into a sierra certainly wasn't.

My 2 98'+ Baleno's have been immobolised and a mates G13bb Jimny.

However the immoboliser looks aftermarket like Australia/ADR has put them in, All being the same style/shape/wires. Easily bypassed and deleted.
