Looking to do the big diff/suspension job on or about Easter, and looking at lockers.

ARB air locker or as I feel could be good, an Eaton E Locker.

Anyone have anything to do with them, searched quite a bit, some say great, some say dont touch, go Air.

Nothing definitive for or against, anyone have knowledge.

Hmmmm, I rang a diff specialist yesterday asking about ARB lockers to be installed in the suzi diffs, he asked why air and not Electronic, maybe he didnt catch the sierra bit.

dont know if you can get an eaton e-locker for a zook diff
I have E-lockers in the Comp truck (cruiser diffs) and love them

Have you experience in AIR as well, how do they compare.

I think the Elocker would be far quicker and less troublesome.

never had any issues with Airlockers. Eaton dont make one for a sierra diff.
KAM lockers do i believe

Tanshi, I have an air locker, nary a drama, my brother has 2, F&R, has let him down a couple of times, airleaks.

He is a fridgy, so gas pressures he knows about, but still conked out on him.

I recon as ARB will be the go.

Is it worth upgrading the front to 26 spline, I very rarely use 4wd, thinking may as well, but also why.

Edit... After conversion and shipping + taxes... It may nearly be cheaper to get the air locker... I was thinking $AUD then realized it was in the uk.

No Elockers for the sierra. Cant be done. something about not enough meat in the bearing caps to get them to fit.

I do a lot of off roading, find it a lot more fun in 2wd, in 4wd my car is no fun, it just goes and never stops. In 2wd I have come unstuck a coupe of times, a front and rear wheel in the air, pretty embarrassing when you boast that that car is unstoppable, doh.

Lockers for me when the new diffs and suspension go in/on.

Lockers will make it even less fun, if it's already too easy to drive in 4wd.

Insurance, blew a diff the other day, put her into 4wd and limped home, what if I did axles trying to get home, few thousand dollars on an insurance is pretty cheap I recon.

I've been running F&R ABR air lockers for a while, the rear one started leaking but still activated ok. Just used more air.
I swapped the guts, with no changing of o rings etc. to another diff housing and it is flawless again. I'm pretty sure the old housing was a bit of a banana.
