My wife's 03 grand vitara cruise control has stopped working.
Any reason why it has? We're do I start looking? Fuses?

Can be the CC module itself, or the sensor, many possibilities.
There is some info in there:

There should be a magnet (I think) fixed to one of the transmission shafts. If that one has gone missing it can explain things.
Also check the throttle cable. Hope it helps.

Is the Check Engine Light on? I believe any CEL codes disables the cruise control.
