My wiper arms go down past the normal position.
How do you fix this?
Im guessing it is a stopper/bumper or something that has come off? Behind the wiper motor?
Have search through the owners manual and cant even find anything about wiper arms etc or even what section it's in.
Any help appreciated

worn pivots on the motor or linkages?

worn spline that has jumped a couple of teeth?

wiper arms have come loose and slipped around on thier splines?

If both arms have dropped the same amount, it points to worn pivots near the motor itself or limit switch is worn.

still - its easy to check all parts while you are at it, to determine what is worn.

wiper arms coming loose is common with most makes of vehicle- and when being used while loose, it wears the splines pretty quickly.

Lift up the wiper arm, and see if it rocks around on its axle, it might just be that the nut has come loose and let the arm drop.
Easiest fix is to remove the wiper arm, and just refit it at the correct height, and keep your fingers crossed.
There is most likely wear in the motor's limit switch [no idea how to fix] and the various linkage pivots will be worn [you will possibly hear clunking as the wipers operate]

The traditional remedy for this wiper clunking is to turn your radio volume up and fit a set of muddies to over-ride the noise,
This also helps hide whiney gearboxes, dodgy transfercases, knackered wheelbearings and piston slap.

You left out better halves, or does that come under pist'n' slap?

Just undo the nut on the arm pivot (under the cover), prize off the wiper arm, move it on the splines until it sits where you want it to stop and do the nut up again Than du ta udder won...

I'm pretty sure it was the linkage that had come loose when my wipers went flaccid. I folded my windscreen down and snapped everything back together.
