Will a 99 gv Ecu work as a spare for an 04 gv? Same size engines as all that.

No. I believe the engine map is different. Early gv was 106kw. Later models were 130kw.

Nope mines fine just on the look for a spare for the future if it ever dies or gets wet. Not actively looking but found a wreck going cheap

if you have an 03 SQ625 with manual transmission then you will have a 33920-52J40 or 41 or 42 ecu (they superceeded the part numbers over the years) , i get at least a call a day for this ecu , and last week i got 6 calls in 2 days !!! i have sold a brand new ecu for one last week for $2200 which was still cheaper than any dealer can offer . they suffer from the same problem they all do , the ac leaks on them and fries them.

Rhinoman , i have been told by a local ecu repairer that they cannot repair them successfully , is this true ? pm me if you have them available for sale . i can keep quoting new units but if i can offer a cheaper alternative then thats great .

Suzuki surprisingly tells me they have not sold one for years and they are ex japan . well i broke their mould ..

What make of ECU is that? The Hitachis have a tendancy to self destruct and I've never seen one with a metal case that wasn't rusty.

My friend with a 99 had his ECU die and his Auto electrician put in a second hand one from some daihatsu and it worked. I have my air con running all the time and the water flows out the drain hole to the outside on the passengers side... $2200 is stupid money for one you could almost get a custom one that can be tuned for that money.
