Hi guys,

First post here, but I have been browsing for a little while now. I recently purchased a 1996 LWB Vitara (G16b). Basically, it went great on the test drive and I managed to get a pretty good price. On the way home it started overheating and running a bit rough. After letting it cool I realised that there was oil in the Radiator and some water in the head :? . Since then it is accelerating a bit rough which tells me either the spark plugs are stuffed or there is water where it's not supposed to be!
So I am now stuck with a can I cannot drive until this issue is fixed. The seller is of coarse saying he had no idea, but we know how that goes. I will be taking it apart this weekend to get a real idea, but I was wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and what they had to do to fix it?

I am preparing to replace the head, gaskets etc for a head re-build and hoping that the block isn't cracked. Is it worth going for a new head, or a refurb? This is my first foray into Suzuki motors.

If you need more info, I'm happy to supply. But I won't have the head off until Sunday.

Cheers!
Matt
