Turns there were other problems, got a new exhaust system today (high flow-straight through), turns out the cat was completely worn out and causing restriction, got even more torque now and the engine runs even cooler again!

How do you know it runs cooler??

I believe it's called a temperature gauge and it's somewhere on your dash cluster?

I think Phil was referring to the factory gauge not always being accurate...

Fyi jimny temp gauges read operating temp between 70' and 115' from memory. Computer controlled. It's either in ya head or u have actuall issues
I know this as I have a aftermarket digital gauge. The factory one is more of a idiot light.
