My question is, what's difference between an A block & B block?

I picked up what I was told was a g16b but its a g16a, doesn't really bother me if it runs the same, maybe it's an import?

Yep. All JDM MPFI 16v's are A blocks. Seems the ADM was the only place to get the B block.

No difference between the two AFAIK.

I fitted an import G16A efi to my Vitara, which was a G16B.
I could not see any obvious differences.

Import bloke only had TBI's in the G16B's

I think its only here that A usually means carby

I bought a G16A complete motor. The block was cracked. I used a good G16B block without any dramas.
The G16B was actually better since it had steel main bearing caps and not aluminium ones.
