Hey,
I own a 1998, 2000cc, 5 door GV. The front diff case as we all know is aluminium. In the past you could get an iron front axle by Calmini but in the last year (since I own the GV) it is almost impossible to get it.
I'm looking for alternative, I know that in some years the diesel GV came with an original iron front axle. Does anybody know in what years the diesel GV came with the iron case? Is there another option? The diesel GV is rare here so If anybody a good site to look for a used GV diesel front axle that will also be good (Aus, US or Europe).
Thanks

Ive got a 1998 SWB 2000cc J20 model GV and i can say from experience that the later model steel diff from an 03 and above model will not fit because of the 3rd member mount hitting the sump. I had to sell mine and get a steel diff from an 01 model which has a much flatter mount.

There is talk about people who have modified the sump, but in my opinion its a mission, for me the trucks my daily so i couldnt go down that road.

NOT SO FAST - maybe all manual V6 GVs have steel diff housings but my 2.0 GV with 5 speed manual most certainly has an aluminum front diff.

Hmmm  thats odd, all the ones I looked at were steel. Could it be that Suzuki decided not to have a set cutoff when they switched over? Out of curiosity is yours SWB or LWB?
