I'm new to this forum and it looks quite interesting.

I'm from Wollongong NSW.

I'm looking at buying a Sierra within the next 2 weeks, I'm more thinking the coil sprung sierra not the leafs.

What does everyone think about that?

And where is it possible to buy Coil lift kits for a sierra? Can't find

Yeah the Coily's are way betterer than the leafies, but the leafies will say the opposite. You just watch.


Seriously though, the leafies are much more modifiable, but if you are just looking to have a little play at the beach, coily's will do the job.

As above, springs and shocks via ebay, but if you want to add some coil spacers in the mean time, search on here. There is a memeber what does them...

Yeah my brother is isn't 4wding & he has a 80 series moddied out crazy.
He told me the Sierra coil sprung would be better.
I actually wanted to do some 4wding & wanted a bit of flex and height.

Do the leafs flex at all? If they flex and are easier to mod I might have to look into one

If you want a cheap 4x4 that flexes nice yku dont want a coily. Leafys flex plenty. They can be modded but are more expensive and limited in mods. No lockers for the front of them either. I laughed because there is a thread with all this infor not 5 posts down

Leafies flex is better than coily.

A search will get you lots of info. Sometimes too much.

Coilys with the spring/shock upgrade won't give you more flex.

Simply because a car has coils in it doesnt mean it is going to flex better and is a very common misconception that a lot of big car owners believe in.

The works there if you want it. Some people like a challenge and like to prove others that certain things can be done, if you want to take the easy path take the leafy but if you want a challenge chose the coily.
