I ordered this ryco fuel filter for my 1997 sv420. Now the ebay store said its the right model but its different to what I have and the inlet and outlet are different too.

I went on ryco website and sure enough its the correct type for my year.Image

but as you can see it wouldnt fit

Any idea what I should do/buy...

What's part number on one that's in there now? Get one the same, replace and happy days.
One in your vitara now looks a lot like if not the same as what was in my 1997 model g16b vitara had

Just a suggestion - try the Ryco Z464 that the listing shows for the 98~00 SV420.

The Ryco listing appears to be incorrect, the Z389 (as shown in your picture) has inlet & outlet pipes - which is what is used on the 98+, and the Z464 has threaded inlet & outlet fittings, so they probably have them reversed.

There is no part number on it at the moment so cannot compare.

Thanks. Ill have to order another then. I was thinking that could of happened but wanted to check before I spend another 70+ on another wrong part!
