It's good to hear I'm not the only one who has dealt with a jammed on disc rotor before and figured at the time it wasn't "that" tight. At least we know now.
I didn't have a comprehensive look around for the 108mm version because the lads at repco couldn't find any different part numbers and they had a third 107mm one on the shelf so I just got that and had the two good ones turned out.

I'm yet to check if the brake lines I have are suitable for the passat calipers, that's one of the next jobs once the hubs come back with the bearings pressed in.

You will need 18, if its a bearing, and not the right diameter for the axle you will need some brass bushes.

we take the bearing/bushes out of ours, the bush is there to stop a cv from flailing around inside the hub, a straight axle in a floater shouldnt need to be supported only 4 inches away from the drive flange

True for you, but I run these axles and it needs them. Without them they can weap a smidge.

18 is a 28*35*16 bearing. without it any play in the drive flange would result in damage to the oil seal that is hammered into the end of the axle houseing?
do you think the bearing would require pressing onto the drive shaft?

Thats if the bearing is a press fit for the axle. Due to it being the only suzuki with bearings I dare say that it wasn't made specifically for it.

No offense tanshi, I have trialed a few things to loose the weap, so it saves people taking it in and out and doing what ive done all over again.

May be keen for a kit myself, got a rear spartan and it sounds nuts. The sooner it snaps an axle, the sooner i get a floater

Looking at that I must have a set of hubs from a 2.0L.

Differences I have noticed between the set I got and the set Anto86 got are that bearing (part 18) which is a bearing on my set, and a bush on his set. This is also just a bush on the front (sierra) spindles on both of our trucks.

That bearing was already pressed in the spindles I got so rather than replace it I just cleaned them out with degreaser and then pushed some more grease back into them. The bearing (part 18) fits over the axle supplied in Joe's kit without any issues, I'm guessing he made them identical to the stock sized axle which would normally have gone through that bearing or bush.

I left them in, couldn't see any reason to take them out.
