hey boys are girls,
just a quick one i am looking at running front hoops to suit 2" body lift and also a Rear shock bar now can anyone tell me the biggest shocks ill be able to fit up her it also has spring over looking for the most flex i can get as its not a registered car,
also dose anyone have a 1.6lt EFI for sale or no how hard it would be to do a swap from the 1.3 to the 1.6Lt

Only way you can determine the longest shocks you can run is to measure the compressed length.. I.e flex you rig till its hard on the bumpstop, then measure from mounting point to mounting point...

i have a shock bar in the back of my sierra, and i run pajero rear shocks in that. whatever the first gen model of pajero is...

I've built custom towers on mine to run 12" travel radflo remote res shocks, I'm running them all vertically so they only take up a bit of space out of the wheel arch. It all depends on how far you really want to go with the build.
As for standard springs e.t.c. measure from your lower attachment point (on the diff) to the point that will hit the bump stop, then measure from the bump stop on the chassis to your top shock mounting point and that's the maximum compressed length you can use. So if you have a maximum compressed length and one fixed point you can work out how much to move the other point.
Good luck, measure twice cut once.

^thats aslong as the shock is mounted inline with the fulcrum point.. I.e the bumpstop if it is outboard of the bump it will alter the measurement
