Another question:

can get my hands on a mate's 2012 gv stock complete coil and suspension outfit. Will it fit my stock swb sv420 vitara though?

No. If the coils fit it'd only be by luck. Completely different suspension design.

If you have time to play around it would be worth trying the coils. The vit I owned had coils from a civic so until someone tries NGV coils it is unknown if they work
