Got a mate who is not happy with how rigid his leaves are on his 94 sierra with the 5 inch lift kit he got, he asked me to look into options he has money I have time hahaha. I see some samuri conversion kit in the usa has anyone done this over here or know of any other options already available here to do a coil spring conversion???

There's very little difference in ride between well set up leaves and coils. If your mate has the 5" Calmini kit then it's not surprising he's unhappy with the suspension.

I'm yet to see a conversion kit I like all that much.

You wasting $3000 if you do though.

- A "Ruf" (Search: Rear Up Front) with soft springs (read as: the leaf spring should contain 3-5 leaves).
- Soft 2" rear springs
- Good quality shock absorbers

You will be set.

All of the above are super easy to do & cost effective. If you have a search for all three, there are plenty of articles & tech write-ups covering this already.

Thanks alot for the replys.
It is a calmini setup he has and I tell him he is just being fussy I took him out 1 day in my 07 cruiser and he has you going flat across huge melon hole country chasing stinken pigs and thrn he missed most of em anyway hahaha he is expecting to much from it.
We dropped 2 leaves out the back and he liked it but snapped 1 spring so he is back to the drawing board.
He has plenty of coin so I thought id help him spend some. I will tell him what you said 5ierra and see which way he gos.
He said he has no drama spendingbthat much on a coil setup if its gonna make a difference. Then I will take his 5 inch leaf kit and put on my scat hahaha
