I'm going to assume this is a battery problem but I thought I would seek opinion from more educated folk here.
The wife's GV won't turn over the past few mornings sounds just like a dead battery but then starts fine later in the day once everything is warmer. Now obviously I assume its the battery just strange that it then starts later. Are there any other possibilities that could be causing said issue?

Grab a multimeter and check your battery voltage. Should be around 12v off then 13-14v while turned on. Gonna have a wild guess and say maybe your oil is too thick. What oil do you run in it? I was running 10W50 and when I went to 15W60, and as it started getting colder I noticed it would turn over a couple of times then start.
I am running 10w50 in mine and on the last two days (first really cold sub-10 degree days since owning it) it has laboured ever so slightly when starting and even had a small amount of timing chain rattle for a few seconds upon starting.
It is not your oil. A battery's current output is dependent on temperature. If your battery is in marginal condition then it will cause slow or no cranking in cold weather. If you get a load test done it will probably show as stuffed.
If you pour boiling water over the battery on cold mornings it may warm it up enough to start.
