hi all

just wondering if a holden drover 1.3lt motor and gearbox will fit into a 1984 model sierra?

Yep sure will mate. Only thing is maybe you may need to change the flanges over. That's not a worry anyway. :-)

if it was originaly a 1.0 litre it will fit, but is not a 'bolt in' swap.

yep atm the zuk is a 1lt 4sp and we want to put the drover 1.3lt and 5sp gearbox into the zuk

you will need to mod gear box and engine mounts and change the jac shaft flange on the transfer case to suit the 1.3 gear box

i have got a complete drover and a complete sierra would it be easier for me to swap over drover complete drive train into sierra without mod's?? would this be less headache's??

i did to mine i put a 1.3l into my 1l lwb page 4 http://www.4wdaction.com.au/forum/showt ... hp?t=67261
that is what i done and it works well except the gear box but my bad

'84 was the changeover between the type 2 1.0lt Sierra (Metal dash with 4wd light) and the type 3 1.0lt (Plastic dash used in the N/T 1.3lt). If yours is the type 3, it will have additional holes on the chassis for the 1.3lt engine mount brackets, making the swap straingtforward. If it is a type 2, you will need to drill holes in the chassis for the 1.3 engine mount.
