This suggestion won't improve the knob - but - I suggest you don't park the car in the sun, or don't change gear after parking in the sun.

Ever thought of placing large rubber rovings in the grooves for improved traction ? But summer and metal ouchies

I reprogrammed the lathe to make the 's' more suzuki 's' like today just need to get more material on monday to make another one. Really only doing this for practice as ive only been operating a cnc foe about three months
