would having a the egr solenoids unplugged and the hoses disconnected stop a motor from running all together?

when i got one of my zooks the nipple parts on the solenoids were broken up and the holes were filled with epoxy but i ran fine i disconnected the wires going to them now my zook won't start is it a coincidence or do i have to try to fix/replace the egr system to get it to go again?

I think they are powered by the same fuse as the coil, didnt blow it somehow did you?
