Hi all.

I am new to the suzuki way of life and just acquired a 1985 sj40 1L and was just wondering if someone can help me out. I recently brought a workshop manual to find out it did not have a break down of the steering column.I can move my steering column up and down and left to right. I was just wondering if the was a bush kit or something to repair this problem or a parts break down for the column.

Thanks for your reply. I checked all the bolts ect. but where it comes out of the fire wall there is a gap between the actual steering shaft and outer tube of the steering column. and that is where the movement seems to be coming from. Just wondering if there is ment to be a bush there or something

Do you drive it everyday or is it a 2nd car?

I think i would pull it out fully and strip apart to buy parts from suzuki. / or buy another 2nd hand column.
