I have a sierra ute that originally had a G13A in it but now has a G16A in it. Is it legal for me to drive in Queensland. It is roughly a 23% volume increase for those who want to know.

You may have got away with engine conversion but it's unlikely you will get away with forced induction. Talk to the department of transport but my understanding is no you cannot drive it on your provisional license. You can while you are a learner though, so go driving now.

The blue plate says for a force induction engine but the engine is currently not.

ANY engine modification that requires a mod plate cannot be driven legally by a P-Plater.

Thanks skrawn for clearing that up. I've got till early November and only 1 point before I get my opens so not going to risk it.
I have a few mods planned for it first.
When I do take it 4x4ing I will just swap cars with my mate till we get there.

Pretty sure in qld any engine that has a 10% increase needs a mod plate.
