Hi I' be happy some info on diff swapping, does 3.9 ring and pinion or the whole 3rd member will fit in 2006 jimny axle

No, coily 3rd member is physically larger than Jimny. Whole 3rd is different.
Jimnys did come with 3.9s. Dunno where or what model, I'l leave the Jimny guys to answer that.
Why not swap to a WT leaf Sierra front diff? 1000000x more aftermarket support than Jimny diffs and arguably stronger.

Hey epitam, if you are looking to put a locker in the front, a WT swap would be best as the parts needed to make it reliable are a hell of a lot easier to find than for a jimny diff.
Plus you can redesign the AWESOME front strut design the coilys have.

This is all true for the front. In the rear, a coil third will bolt in. Not much help when you can't swap they front over.

Hi guys, thanks for the feedback. I'm asking for a friwnd of mine that need 3.9 in his jimny. Can i just take the 3.9 ring and pinion out of sj80 and install it in the jimny 3rd member?

first are you talking about front or rear.
front. NO, they are different completely
rear yeah you can.

No. Nothing except a jimny front fits a jimny front. It's unique.
Jimny, sj80 sj50, sj70 all use the same rear third with different ratios.
