Adjusting Carby? Black smoke?

Hey guys, ive got a 94 vitara (g16a) thats been blowing some black smoke, so it's burning to much fuel.
would adjusting the carby help this? or could it be something else?

and if it is adjusting the carby what screws do you have to turn??

Dirty spark plugs / poor timing?

timing may be out, so ill have to talk to a mechanic but im not entirely sure.

ill try replacing the spark plugs and see if that helps

Black smoke = fueling issue. Check if the choke flap is full open in the carb.

The auto choke was broken when i bought it, so at the moment its permanently open
