Did you pay some one to fit them??
If you did , take it back.
If you fitted em, what grease did you use & how tight did you do em up??

I do mine up to 75NM then off 1/4 turn then back on 10NM. I use high pressure grease from repco and it works great... 50kms just warm to touch, no play, and spins well...

That`s BS. 1 month is appalling.
Thay are pretty straight forward to fit, should be a thread on it in here somewhere.
sound to me that thay`ve over tightened them or used the wrong grease.

Coilys don't have a conventional hex nut, so there is a chance that they aren't doing them up properly as they don't have the proper tool.
Or
They could be sticking the wrong bering in. Not sure how different they are, but a coil model has different bearings to a leaf model.

even mine last longer then a month (just) and i get around on -50 10" rims and you'd expect nothing but for the bearings to be slaughtered.

just an update, havent taken it into the shop that fitted the bearings yet because apparently they are too busy.
pulled the wheel off today but only got as far as taking the hub off then got sidetracked. i remembered that when i picked the car up they said something about not having to grease the bearings.....what the. no grease = heaps of friction = heaps of heat = excessive wear doesnt it. ????? any ideas why they wouldnt have to grease them?

I know Suzuki`s come greased, if thay had none in it when thay fitted them it would of made noise straight away, you wouldn`t of got 20km out of them!

if they are tapered roller bearings and there is not grease the mechanics at fault
if they have a sealed ball/double row/angular contact bearing it will come pre greased.
rule of thumb - if you cant see the rolling elements it doesnt need greasing. if you can it does.

like i said last time this came up, the non genuine roller bearings never work, they are not designed properly, genuine, repack are the only options. i originally replaced mine, but put the originals back in repacked and tightened properly. the aftermarket ones stuffed my bearing hubs so i stole some off a jimny

Coily's run the same front bearings as Vitara. Yes they need grease! Is your diff housing not bent?? Massive wheels with massive offset??

What kinda aftermarket bearings are we talking about here Saam? NTN or Timken or some such? from a bearing shop like CBC or?
really surprised that there isn't a decent aftermarket bearing available, that is not as good or better than genuine.

everyone has them listed as a roller bearing, i had a kit from cbc and they never tightened up properly and wore out my bearing hub, i beleive the coily is closer to the jimny than the vitara, i have jimny bearing hubs on my coily after mine where flogged out, do vitaras run a fat dual ball bearing ?

Gv`s do, you can get them apart & greeze if you want, but you run the risk of damage`n the seal !

suzuki don't manufacture bearings so 'aftermarket' should be the same if the numbers match up, i'm guessing you got an incorrect kit which was very similar, similar enough to use.
we get incorrect wheel bearing kits all the time. Some listings are incorrect but mostly its the customer telling us the wrong information. next time take a sample with you a and go from there. i beleive their supplier would have their kit listing wrong.

Meaning take down the numbers from the actual bearings and seals that you pull out, rather than asking for a kit for 97 Sierra or whatever?

yeah but he does not have an original bearing and even when i was cross referencing the part numbers i was getting a bearing which did not work, they where the right size but would never get tension, only the exact brand and part number seems to work

like saam says there is not point taking down bearings that are wrong anyway, all you will confirm is they are supplying exactly what was wrong before.
i've just checked all my listings and they say (skf, cbc, wholesalers) NT, WT, coily and early jimny all run the same front wheel bearings
which is 2 x LM300849 cones & LM300811 cups
are you sure your hub or stub isn't damaged causing the rest to flog out quickly?

coilys and vita are a untiy setup, 1 big fat race you press in and 2 tapered bearings (well vit is tapered) that go in either side and you do the nut up FT cause they are machined to teh correct preload, nothing like a leafy at all
I got a cbc bearing in Jan that was wrong from teh start, will pull it out in the next few days to see what its like, I am guessing shit manufacture cause there is no way you can install it wrong short of not doing the nut up

no coilies and jimny's have a ball bearing with a row of ball bearings inner and outer, the tapered bearing ones are the ones that fucked my bearing hubs.
and same as what your saying royce, you will find that on the tapered one that the bearing cup things touch in the middle before they tighten up and you never get load on the tapered rollers.
