Hi - Will any generic 7" GPS fit into a 1998 GV type 1 or is it a weird size/fitting thing?

then, yes, but you may need to trim the plastic surround depending on the fit of the screen clip on bezel.

The slot in your GV will take 2 DIN sized radio's, GPS etc.
If the unit you are looking at says Double DIN or 2 DIN then it will physically fit and screw into the frame behind the fascia.

Thank you - I have just started looking at what is available - Any recommendations about which is best and what maps to look for anyone?
