I cant figure why my right head light is very dull and the left seems normal.
it switches from high to low fine but only seems to be getting half power or less.

if i cant find the problem would there be a problem with piggy backing the right hand headlight onto the left?

Have you checked your earthing. Most likely one side could be earthed more then the other.
Also check your bulbs. One might be on it's way out.

3rd and 4th fuses from the left, top row in the fuse panel above the pedals, one is blown

you cannot check them with a test light, you must remove them and have a look

I bet your high beam dash light is doing some funny stuff too

Maybe a Royce engineered Headlight loom upgrade will sought out your Shitty Earths! and generally dim headlights (even with a good earth)

FWIW a loom upgrade combined with a decent housing and bulbs will produce an equally good result...and still be legal  But i'm not starting that debate again pompoms

Loom upgrade + new reflectors + 35w hids = equivalent light output to 100w halogens while drawing 6 amps!

The colour of the light has nothing to do with it. You (coppers) can tell the difference between HID's and halogen lights from a mile away.......just saying 8) At the end of the day it's your car, do what you want with it.

this guy. pompoms :peaceout: pompoms

spent an hour testing and stuffing around with earths. should have searched first. what lamps are people running? i don't want anything stupid (HID/ cop bait ) just something that all put out good light. i am going to make up a upgraded loom to help even more. one more headlight related question whats the best way of setting up the headlights (getting them pointing straight or where ever they are meant to point)??

cheers greg
