So I went in and put a new water pump in my sierra with a gti swift motor in it and me not thinking took the timing belt off and and didn't touch cams or crank shaft and put it back on and now it not starting Anyone able to help

You really will need to download a copy of the service manual for the GTI, and carefully read and follow the section on installing the timing belt.
Depending on where the crankshaft and cams were sitting, it might be possible for one of the cams to have rotated out of sync from valve spring pressure. You need to make sure this is right before checking other possible problems.
I'm afraid I don't remember where I downloaded my copy from. It's about 75Mb. If you can't locate it online I could upload it to dropbox for you. Let me know.
