A few weeks ago I noticed white smoke coming out of my exhaust on startup. Thought maybe head gasket. Nope, problem is the PCV valve.

Air coming from the Crackcase goes back through the air intake system for various reasons that I don't quite understand. Oil is getting in there through the PCV valve and hose.
I TOOK OUT the valve and now no more smoke and oil levels are remaining constant... phew!

I need to know where I might be able to get a new one, or second hand one that works and fit it in.
Still new to cars as a whole.

I want it I want it post: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=47375

QUESTION: can anyone add information I might need to know to my little cofuffle? really anything helps

Looking at your I want it post you're driving the SV620 V6 Vitara - if the valve was IN the hose, it doesn't sound like the stock PCV valve - that sits in a grommet on the back of the head and a hose connects to it.

The PCV valve, if good, should also be closed at idle, so I would not expect air/oil to be getting through there on start up - by the way, you can check them - they normally rattle, and will allow air flow in one direction only.

PCV valves are considered to be "maintenance items" so forget looking for a used one - they should be readily available from any Suzuki dealer or any decent auto parts chain - the same valve is also used on the 2.5 V6 (Grand Vitara)

Some V6 engines will, apparently if not properly maintained, sludge the oil/vapor separators in the cam cover and that can lead to oil being sucked through the PCV valve & burned

SuziStore sell them new. You will most likely need a new seal for it also. As Fordem posted they are a service item. Mine in an SE416 was rattling but didn't have a positive action when air was blown through and with a hardened seal was creating a vacuum leak.
