Shopping for parts for a budget lift for my SQ420 I have noticed a set of rear shocks to suit later model. Have checked suspension catalogs and see that they are different part numbers, but can't find info on what makes them different. Does anyone know if I could make later rear shocks fit and be ok with a 2" lift? Cheers.
I don't know specifically about the springs, but I imagine they are quite a bit different, the 2007 GV has independent rear suspension whereas the 02 GV has a live rear axel, these would have to be a completely different geometry and setup to what you have

Just get the camira or commy ones... I'd say that they're going to be different enough to not work, otherwise it probably would have been done already.

So Camira rear shocks and Commondore rears is a tried and true mod, hey? Nice one Atari. I have been wondering about bits from other cars that have been utilized by people to mod their beasts. Especially springs. Is there a thread which lists such parts? I have been reading through the tech threads, but haven't found such as yet.
