I was having withdrawal symptoms from trailer building. So I dodgied up some mounts for my recently acquired tablet. Mount is part a bought ebay car mount, and part left over hinges. Big bro' updated his tablet, so I won his old one Mount also acts as a stand when it is on the table at home.
Tablet barely charges on usb outlets, have to switch it off to get it charged. May get a proper car charger for it one day. Apparently it is a Samsung thing.

It's not a Samsung thing, it's an amps thing. Get a 12v usb outlet that can move 2amps+ or so; many of them are only 500mA and some even as low as 200mA which is never going to charge a tablet. Obviously make sure the cable can handle that as well.
The outlets are rated at 3.1 amps, but being doubles I'm guessing 1.5 amps each. The original 2 were only 500ma. Will get a better outlet for the tablet, but good enough for now.
Great job on the Van and the posts. Thanks for all the updates and good photos of the work. She looks like a great little Van and I hope you get years of camping out of her.
I just ordered new power points for the bed area. The hi tech ones I have, with switches and LED's to indicate power on and off, are just too bright for sleeping. Didn't bother me till I was away from city lights, then they felt like 1000W spotties Even though they are low current draw, they still flatten my tiny battery when its locked away in the garage. (I have been pulling the fuses out lately when parked)
I got motorcycle waterproof no frills power sockets to fit now.
I will be upping the reverse lights quality at some stage soon, too.
I have been tinkering again, can't help myself, bit of sunshine spurs me into action. The rubber backed carpet was a bad idea, though it seemed like a good one at first. It was trapping moisture beneath it. I thought the door must be leaking in a huge rain storm, but it was from condensation dripping down the pvc dangly bits. So I replaced the dangly bits with fly wire screen, should breathe better, and the wet area floor matting should allow errant leaks to escape better. I don't for one minute think my door has a perfect seal, and wood tends to move around a fair bit, too. Years of Mokes taught me not to try to keep water out, but to let it escape
Finally got to do some proper off road testing with some Zook Club mates today. Very happy with it. Though driver needs to learn better bog hole techniques

trailer definitely looks the part chris, what's it like to sleep in with the solid walls/roof compared to the RTT & i've been saying that for years... the front end is what needs to be locked in a vit, even better if it's selectable.

Feels like a 5 star motel to sleep in, though I think I need a thicker mattress, or a skinnier butt. No room for for acrobatic sex though, thats best on the roof. When I lost my front drive earlier this year, the Vit became a useless piece of crud off road.
Yep, need to boat side the mudguards. Even though wheel track matches Vit, the guards are actually wider than needed, so they get a bit close to stuff.
I managed a tight wad Christover solution to the guards hanging too low and getting OUCHED, thanks to some left over galv strips a mate (Steve125) gave me at start of the build, and some repurposed rubber mats I removed from the inside a couple of weeks ago. Only needed to buy a few cutting discs. Didn't even need to buy any screws or paint, sometimes ya win Tar paint don't look very pretty, but it is tuff and functional. I think its kind of boat sided guards now, trimmed to be same height as original side sliders at the front, with a beefed up edge wrapping around the side. With the rear roughly matching and longer mudflaps. May get fancy mud flaps one day. Or not
The Zook Camper Gods smiled upon me. Looking for something else, I stumbled upon some new rims (in a wrong section of ebay). Right place, right time, good price. Good use of Birthday money I reckon. These are closer to being the same as the cars rims. (7's too better than 5.5's) Fills campers guards better, better for the tyre width, and trailer will be more stable. Track is about 20mm wider than the car now (10mm each side). But I don't think that will be a concern. Extremely happy with these, and they are better suited to fit on the car if needed. Sometimes Ya win
