im looking at upgrading my stock sj70 shocks and leafs to a OME 2' lift, ive been told the lift will only lift it 40mm about the orginal hight, but being 20yr suspension im wondering actually how much the ones in it would have sunk, im looking to upgrade mainly to get rid of the currently ones and ive been told upgrading would also improve the ride as the ones i have are probably fucked, as well as adding a litter extra height to the car, has anyone got any advice on this, how much will it actually be lifted, comment on OME suspension will it actually improve the ride? how much better/worse will it handle, i will be upgrading all shocks, leafs, bushes, u bolts and steering dampener, i have been quoted $1000 for supply of parts,

Some full stops and capital letters make a paragraph much easier to read. Easier to read = more replies just FYI.
OME suspension is a great upgrade. The ride is far softer and will improve the driveability. The vehicle will probably lift around 50mm due to the sagged suspension but this means nothing really. Suspension "lift" does not help for adding larger tyres.

OME stuff is great, made by monroe for ARB. Not sure of the ride quality of the springs in a sierra, I was led to beleive the OME was pretty hard riding in a sierra. I know in normal size cars they are very comfortable. Shocks are good quality too.

I think you will find any new lifted spring in a sierra can have a really stiff feel for the novice. The only exception to this ive found has been the cheapie blupac/ebay stuff but you will be lucky to have them last very long with regular offroading maybe 12 months.

only ones ive found to be nice and soft are EFS, you pay out the ass for them tho and they are known to sag on the RHS. Flex well tho.
im running West Coast Suspension leafs have taken a lot of softening up. Extended hangers prob don't help tho.
