I have a 1997 Vitara with Calmini suspension installed. Since I have purchased this little truck, I have experienced a whine comi9ng from the rear end. It mainly occurs when I back of at hi speed and under load. With the attempt to use process of elimination I have changed the tail shaft, gearbox and transfer case, and the rear diff. I unfortunately still have this whine. My thought's are it maybe the angle of the rear uni due to the lift.
Has anyone had the same problem and how did you solve it.

pic of rear pinion angle & how far in/out is the heim joint wound... actually pics of both would help.

As atari4x4 said will be the rear pinion angle, I tried different adjustments but could not get rid of the noise.

I don't think there is anyway to adjust the angle of the diff.

what calmini kit 2" or 3"?

the 3" is adjustable by screwing in/out the threaded rod end/heim joint/ rose joint on the upper link to adjust the pinion angle
