Anyone tell me if the front brakes of a1998 j20a swb will fit 1997 g16b swb thanks in advance

I'm fairly sure they wouldn't fit. I think the 1998 ones were bigger.
Hopefully someone pops in with better info for you.

you need to swap the whole knuckle over as the caliper offset is different & you technically will need to run 16's.
