Hi guys I have recently dropped a valve in my 83 1 liter and just weighing up some possible options I have been offered a 1 liter maruti engine which I have been told the only difference is that it has more pollution gear and an electronic ignition in it ? Will this go in and bolt up to my 4 speed gear box ?

You'l need to cut down the input shaft on the gearbox slightly, have a read of this thread for details on that. Early 1l runs the same length input shaft as LJ80 so it applies to you too.

Other than that it just bolts in. They're the same engine (F10a) but the Maruti engine has EGR, a different carby and electronic ignition with vacuum advance.
