So for the few that don't know my GV is getting the first kit. So far the passenger side has gone in as planned. The drivers side will go nowhere near close with the stock diff brackets. If I can't get my hands on a bracket to modify I'll build one. Fits in the back of the knuckle like it was made to go there. Needed the slightest flap wheel attention and it dropped in. These CV's are huge compared to stock.

yea a custom diff drop is needed for the DS, but any one whos come as far as making the stubby should be able to make one. you can cut a slot in the cast one which will work for a bit but breaks easily and prob even more so with a bigger groove to accommodate the adapter plate. easiest way is to get a plate style diff drop and cut and weld in new supports for it. or make one out of 14mm plate.

14mm seems overkill but I'll sort something out. Thanks for the pictures and yes the adaptor plate really takes up some space in that area.

I'm glad I was "forced" to buy plate diff drops now (due to Giz being out of the cast sets).

14mm works as that one doesn't have any bracing. The giz diff drop can be cut and braced pretty easily. Look in klutcheds thread for pics on how he did it. I went 14mm coz that's what was around in the scrap bin. The giz poly bushes are also pretty good as the cast rubber ones flog out pretty quick.

With enough shape and bracing 4-6mm plate would be heaps look how thin the cast ones are

GV diff drops are inconvenient. SV ones much easier, though I still had to linush it a bit and make sure the bolt heads were completely countersunk (I fragged one on the first version.)

I'm actually a bit worried about clearance to the swaybar links...

You can also grind the head of the bolts a bit.

Not mine. Anything sitting proud goes clunk - hence the damage on the flange in that pic. Probably got the stubby made a touch too short, but with three 8.8 bolts in each I'm happy countersinking them right in.

Zook fan has in his gv but said it needed more room for the cv. He now has 4xfourart arms which are wider and it works now.

I already have the 4xfourart full suspension kit and my cv joints need doing soon. Is there much work in changing it over and can I get hold of a kit?

Gv needs customs diff drops on the ds and a grinder on a plate type (not cast) on the ds

Yes. There is a fair bit of work to fit. You need to do the stubby shaft mod and jam a shit load of metal into effectively no space. You will be cutting and welding the driver side mount and grinding back on the passenger side mount.

I will clarify that with the 4xfourart arms they will fit, I cannot guarantee they will work as yet as I haven't run the car since the installation.
