Does anyone know where I am likely to pick up the flexplate and torque convertor bolts for the Vit 3sp auto ? Have tried Suzistore but no dice.
Can generic bolts be used ?

They're usually a really fine thread with a low profile head.

i made low profile bolts for my RHS bolt in CV, gave them some love with the grinder. :wink:

M10X1.0mm from memory.

Don't think flex plate or converter need low profile heads. IIRC flywheels do.

So they arent shouldered or anything Steve ? I do have bolts in my bolt bucket that fit but have been advised against using random bolts instead of the correct torque converter ones.
The engine was a manual and the box never came with them which is why I am looking.

Flexplate bolts are not shouldered.
The ones ive seen are the same bolts as flywheel bolts
Im pretty sure I saw a container with a set of these yesterday when moving.
If you make me an offer worth me going to find them again, ill post them to you.

As mitch said, the torque converter bolts are shouldered, and they are a short bolt.
just long enough to engage all the thread on the tab.
I probably have a set of these kicking around, but unlikely to find them.
