Hey guys, this is my first post here so before you shoot me down in flames, I searched under Magna & only found alternator questions!

So anyway, I recently rebuilt my carb in my 1.3 Sierra. When doing so I found that the throttle shafts had a massive amount of wear/play resulting in a hefty Vac leak.
I was at a mates farm & he has a couple of old dead Magna's out there which run a Mikuni Carb on them, they run a Vac assisted secondary similar to the Sierra & they also share the exact same bolt pattern as the Sierra! I asked if I could get them & he said he'd think about it then pulled them off for me the next day!
The problem here is, I didn't remove them so I don't know what Vac lines go where! Nothing I can't chase up but, Is it worth the hassle!?
I'm just wondering if anyone has done this conversion or if anyone has any info on weather this would work?
Thanks.

I'd be comparing it with the carby that comes on the 8V g16a engine.

If its the same either try it and see or jet it to Vitara specs (if its the same). Then plumb it similar to how the Vitaras came.

Edit -

some info on Mikunis onto g13a:

Mikuni's on Sierra's was a 1990's thing, before the Internet, but there is still bits of Info floating around if you have a few hours spare.
