With some body lift kits utilising only about 1/2 of the body support points, this create far greater stress on the mounting points used.

My friends zook 91 WT, not pictured had large cracks develop on the mounts on both sides.

How many people have found cracks developing where the body bolts to the chassis on the front spring hanger?

How many people inspect it?

I will get photos of the fix used to stop further crack propagation, and I will utilise the same fix as preventative measure.

How many people made their own mounts (an extra 10) to support the body better?

i had to go and put another 4 bit's of 50x50rhs for engineering... so yeah it is important to have them

My rear most mounts have cracks around them. If Suzuki support the body at 20 odd places then 10 just won't cut it without dramas eventually.

Cracks in the front mounts are much less common than cracks in the rears on 1.3's. A lot of the 1.3's I've seen have cracks around the outside rear mount in front of the rear wheels, and that's before a body lift.

1.0's crack much more severely as they aren't rolled at all - they're just a hole in the flat plate.

there's no reason that a body lift will be more likely to crack the chassis mounts, but you really do need all the extra supports. Just he bolted connections isn't enough.

If I'm not going crazy that rig in the picture suffered a roll over/ flop a year or two ago. Is that right?

Maybe this is why the mounts have cracked...or may have made the issue worse.

No the damage on the mounts arent in this rig yet.

This is my rig (purchased off vicelore in May with a little bit of damage (The damage was door, windscreen, B pillar, and rear quarter panel).

The cracks are on my friends zook, and I was curious as to the frequency of such occurences.

not normally. 1.0's seem to be always cracked regardless of condition.

1.3's crack due to the weight of the driver. Odds are if the seat mounts are cracked (very common) I'd guess the rear chassis mounts are cracked as well.

The front is a new one for me on a 1.3, but yes, if It's had lots of hard use with no front firewall supports (other than the bolted mounts) then it stands to reason.
