I have a 1996 SJ80 with a busted axle and diff centre. I have a vitara that is fine except the engine is blown. Wondering if the diff from the vitara 1993 will fit the SJ80 or whether the axles are interchangeable.
If not can I swap the 1.3 efi swift motor from the SJ80 into the vitara easily? (As the vitara engine has done a big end)

Axles wont fit but centre or r&p will. But you can't do it as your front r&p will be different. Sj80 as a uneak front diff so nothing fits. Changing motor will be a down grade. To much work as well.

Your better of chasing down another axle and a nt 1.3 rear diff center.

Ok thanks for the advice. Do any of the older suzuki sierra centres or axles fit?

Coily axles are unique to the coily but an SJ50 3rd member will fit and had the same ratio, only difference is SJ50 has different bolts for the tailshaft. Easily fixed by swapping tailshaft yokes.
