Whats the best way to do a 4 link on a vitara ? anyone got pic there setup

Not really a common thing to be tweaking as it works pretty well on a mild Vitara, I'd be focusing on the front end if I was thinking about linking something.

I know I've seen a heap of 4 link vit pics over the years on pirate4x4, have a suss of the suzuki section on there. Most of them had the lower links moved forward to about where the tube crossmember is on the chassis rails, not real sure where the uppers went but you'd have to get creative to get a decent length arm in there.

Even have a suss of the Trail Slayer kits for what they do for bracketometry on the chassis end.

Buy a first gen gv rear diff and go from there

The back of a vit is a 4 link as far as performance goes.
It has a balljoint instead of 2 bushes there . It acts and handles the same
Its good for 10in travel which is all the coil travel you can get in there anyway
Adding anymore travel then that to the back is going to make it a very very unbalanced car(like a patrol)
The front is probly only like 6in travel

I mostly agree there got_bar_work, although a proper 4 link would permit antisquat to be adjusted to provide a bit more rear end traction, and I'd assume you'd throw longer links into it whilst you're at it.

Zuk_89, it might be easier to assist you if we have a better idea of what you would like the 4 link to achieve. Whilst the stock vitara A-frame rear is far from perfect, it's generally trouble free and as got_bar_work points out, already supports as much travel as the vitara spring design is capable of.

Adding rear wheel travel, especially if it's with low roll stiffness, doesn't really make a car more capable.
