Hi,
My rear diff accidentally got drowned so I put brand new bearings and seals in. Now, when the car reaches around 80km/h there is like a howling noise. When I step on the accelerator it slightly disappears. When I let off the accelerator it is conpletely gone. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be and what I can do? I dont want to be pulling the diff out again.

I only know what I've read on here about diff setup. There are tolerances that need to be correct, was yours setup correctly?

Like I said, I'm no expert and maybe it was set up correctly and you know a lot more about diffs than I realise but I had to ask.

Whatever the case, I think you'll need to pluck it back out to fix it.

I put the bearings and seal in and I had another guy (who is a diff specialist) set the preload and gear meshing. I'll try tighten the pinion nut a little and see what happens

Don't mess around with it, take it back to the "diff specialist" - I'm no expert, but, based on your description of the problem I would say there's too much clearance and it's not the pinion preload that needs to be adjusted - there's also a high probability the gears are either not meshed where they originally were or are damaged (and possibly both).

Get the guy to look at it again, or hunt down a whole replacement 3rd member etc.

If the setup is correct and its still noisey, its likely rooted gears
A muddy paste can be enough to destroy the gears.
