Hmm. Geometry mostly, but maybe it could be overcome. If your red line was a coilover it would be full hektik though (I'm actually being a little bit serious)

I drew up and started on a scissor shackle that had a spring that pushed them apart, I think I worked out the spring set at 100kg to close the shackle. I ended up getting 3/4 setup before finishing the first prototype :( i should of finished it for something different
