What turbos does people run on there g16b ?

do you have the five to eight thousand dollars required for all the other parts and tuning required to build a reliable G16B turbo car?

The turbo is usually the cheap bit.

Can't help with part numbers, I don't have enough money to turbo my G16B and don't need the torque so I haven't researched turbo compatibility in detail.

Do you want it or need it? I think its been said before, power doesn't make up for lack of gearing. You can try but it never really works..

But if you really want a turbo, and have everything else sorted, look for stuff that suits mazda BPs and mx5's, clios, various VWs... Basically any 1.6 motor... Cos that's how it kinda works... having the capacity to make a specific turbo work..

Yer i got a turbo kit lined up but was just wondering what the best turbo to run

if you've got a kit lined up, you'll need the specific turbo it's designed for.
Flange shape, housing orientation and outlet style all differ for different makes and sizes.

If I were starting from scratch, I'd use a Borg Warner EFR turbo in the smallest available size.
If doing it on the cheap, just get a used garrett GT25.

G16's are notade.to handle boost! Hi OE you have deepmpicjets to get in built and tuned correctly...

If you have the kit already and assuming its a t2 flanged kit just run a stock ca18det turbo. The .48 rear housing will help the small 1.6 spool better so you have some bottom end. If you one day blow the turbo it can easily be replaced with a t25g or t28 from an sr20 or even a rb26 t28 (although use your existing .48 housing)
