Hey all, I have just purchased a Sierra with mk3 gti motor not running, the guy rolled it over and got it towed home, has not started since.

Things I have checked-
It runs on start ya bastard, so it not spark or cam angle/crank angle sensor.
tested Ecu all inputs and outputs are as meant to be, exept no injector output voltage. it looks like a ECU problem as I noticed the battery was not tied down and the hood lining is aluminium sheeting stuck down with a tar like glue and has burned the top of it.

Does anybody have any input as im about to chase down a ECU but could do with some advice..

Take the top off the ECU and have a look for burnt connections in there. If it's fried then you could get it repaired or just replace
