It dumps out just above the front diff. I may route it to a catch can or something?

Make sure it doesn't leak onto the the starter/starter solenoid.

I may have had a small fire with a float bowl bung leaking on the starter.

Nope it runs down through the engine mount and dumps out on the pumpkin.
Its not ideal but has only let our a tiny bit of fuel once.
