Hi all,so I got the approval last week from the Motor Transport Authority here in SA commonly known as Regency,to LEGALLY install a M18A into my 2012 Jimny, quite happy about that. I have got a low k engine coming and I'm booked in to the mechanics in a couple of weeks. This should make it go much better especially on the hills.
So yes I will be selling my M13A which by then will have done around 13,500kms,fantastic quiet lil engine and I'm sure it will sell at the right price.
So who has done this and are you happy with the bigger engine now? :?:

Hi Tekno
I've done the conversion M13A to M18A and am very happy with it. I've covered 15000km since doing it and am averaging between 10,5 and 10,9km per litre. Vehicle also tows exceptionally well. I did have to fit a separate ECU to handle the fueling as the 1300 ECU was running it too lean at cruise (4000rpm/ 120kph) and it was idling too rich.

Run runs great, a bit rich when I really get up it but that could be due to the extractors. Done about 20,000kms, not as efficient as neville's though but still good.
