Can anyone help me?
i have a 98 Jimny with 2" toughdog suspension lift. I recently saw the bottom bushes (front) were totaled and ripped the whole things out.
My mate thinks they are done, so instead of getting new toughdogs that cost an arm and a leg. Is there any replacement shocks that are a bit cheaper.
EG, stock shocks out of a hilux? commadore? anything?
ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you with jamming shocks that are made for much heavier cars into a little Jimny.
But there's a number of options for Jimny shocks to suit 2" lift.

Personally I won't get toughdog shocks, but that's more to do with all the bad feedback from those that have them, rather then the cost.

Do you have a bull bar / winch?
That will make a bit of difference to your choices.

There's a few options for cheap crap on eBay if cost is your only concern.

I have dobinsons in my Jimny and I'm very happy with them.
The reports for OME and the ones out of the UK are pretty good too.

you can get dobinsons shocks/springs with free delivery from the super cheap auto website & they're cheap to begin with. just go to the parts section, click on the 'parts guide' banner, choose your car, go to suspension & you'll see 'other options' or something listed under some items & they'll be raised springs/shocks etc.
