Only lasts for a couple of seconds. Tanks

Maybe i found the answer??????? Did lots of phoning around to different Suzy dealers and I was told by one guy that its the ABS pump priming, and he said it only lasts for about a second or two and is on the left hand side in which the noise is coming from. So has anyone else heard of this???? Maybe its only on the later models?Dunno
I have ABS in my 2009 manual model and never had this sound. All modern cars have ABS and I have never heard of this. Might be useful if you can capture the sound and put it on Youtube to get some opinions. I would guess this is something to do with the auto transmission? I don't know how the selection of drive would affect the ABS.

Hiya mike57.........I got more info today and confirmed that it is in fact the ABS pump priming! From what I understand this feature was on the Facelift models and is designed to help build up fluid pressure apparantly. I havnt heard of it until now either.
I hear this noise also in my Jimny, I assumed it was an air pump for emissions. I've got an 08 model. It's a dull sound that does have a similar sound to a mobile phone on mute that is vibrating under the couch cushion.
