Hey all, I am looking at options to sell off my Vit. Short story is that I can't get it engineered in NSW to the standard I want, so I'm looking for something else. At the moment the car is unregistered but driveable. I can get a temporary permit for it to drive anywhere in NSW. Currently located in South Windsor, or possibly soon Rozelle. Build thread is here, warts and all: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11477&start=720Basics: 97 SV620 with around 165,000km Motor is solid, runs smooth and good grunt for what it is, even with the 265 tyres (most of the EFI sensors recently replaced or at least cleaned out, fluids and filters would have done less than 5000km) Gearbox is a little whiny - additive helps but all shifts are smooth Transfer was rebuilt with 4.24 Rockhopper low-range gears 5.12 diffs, front is steel with support bush, stubby axle and ARB airlocker Calmini control arms all round, except custom built longer rear trailing arms OME struts and new Dobinson lifted XL7 springs up front, Rancho shocks and unknown but flexy 3" springs in rear BenT rear disc kit, all brake lines are extended and braided, all calipers rebuilt, all rotors freshly machined 2.5" Wildcat extractors, new 2.5" stainless cat and muffler, 2" piping all the way through (speedo cable relocated and clutch lines moved and replaced with braided steel.) Powdercoated XL7 rims with 265/75/16 Maxxis Buckshots (some shallow cuts from flare wire, but good tread. Spare is a rubbish 235/85 BFG AT) ECB bullbar, Aldi winch, towbar Rola roofracks, eBay snorkel, rubber flare extensions Dash and interior lights replaced with LEDs Heaps of stuff can be negotiated into the sale as well - Vortex basket, custom rear drawers, ARB awning, UHF, some recovery gear etc. Looking for $6k as is. I'd rather not go through the hassle of pulling everything off. Alternatively I may be able to get it back to a point where it can be regoed without engineering, which would mean a bunch of the good stuff would come off, and the price would remain about the same. I'm open to suggestion.

Well that was underwhelming...
What if I could get it engineered in NSW with the suspension, rear discs, WRX seats, and tyres/rims?

I don't have the safe off-street location to go through that again, or the time and patience to be honest. That said, if no-one wants it whole... Scrawn wrote: Just move to Brissie Rob! What would that achieve? I'd just have to get it engineered up there...

Just a question about the WRX seats, do they mount directly to the stock mounting holes or bracket?

If you part it out I'll put my hand up to take the transfer with gears, custom draws and snorkel if it has one, may also take exhaust and extractors

toopy wrote: Just a question about the WRX seats, do they mount directly to the stock mounting holes or bracket? Not even close mate. Pretty much nothing does. They are sitting on completely custom made mounts - flat bar on the tunnel side and a bit of 50x150 RHS sectioned to suit. There's pics in the build thread somewhere. mudmav wrote: If you part it out I'll put my hand up to take the transfer with gears, custom draws and snorkel if it has one, may also take exhaust and extractors Transfer I'd want $800 Draws $100 Snorkel is a cheap eBay jobbie - $100 Antzook wrote: I'll take the diffs Front is a steel with 5.12s, airlocker, stubby conversion and support bush - $1200 Rear I'd throw in with the front for $100

This is who I will be taking my ute to. I've spoken about the mods that I'm doing and said it wouldn't be an issue to engineer it. That's including chassis extension etc. Worth popping down to them and getting the once over. http://www.offtrack4x4.com/

OK lads, sorry to disappear on you... this is hopefully back on...
I'm sick to death of the engineer dragging his heels, not getting back to me, and then whingeing that the car is in the way and taking up space in his shop. It's been months and I can't get a straight answer, so I'm pulling it.
I will speak to Rob at offtrack, but to be honest I'm not holding my breath.
So... rehashing the above... is there any interest in the car as a whole, or am I going to have to pull it apart? Bonus points (and obviously discount prices) for anyone with the standard bits to swap...
Not interested in swaps for other cars at this stage, unless someone is crazy enough to offer a roadworthy/regoed LJ or LWB.

The roof racks are Rola sports track mounts - so the tracks bolt/rivet into the roof. The crossbars then bolt to that.
The basket is a Rola Vertex, and has the original clamps to attach to the crossbars.
I'd do the lot for $200.
Awning I can do seperately regardless if you want it. $150.

Your guess would be better than mine mate... pretty sure the bracketometry would be different. BenT does kits for both, which use different calipers, but he may be able to shed some light.
