So the brakes on my coily feel like a brick wall. They work, but you have to push them really hard to get anything to happen. It's like when then car stalls and the breaks get real heavy, except the car is still running.. Thinking Booster? They don't go all the way to the floor and there's plenty of pressure behind them, they're just really solid and hard to use. We put braided lines in the front and new rotors with new pads. Looking at the rear breaks now but yeah.. It's probably a super simple solution but i can't find it :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Myles.

Booster. It could just be a vacuum issue however (never had the issue on a zook, but in performance V8 applications with high-lift high-duration cam profiles I used to struggle with maintaining vacuum in older boosters).

x2 for booster. There is a small chance it could be a blocked/damaged booster feed.

With the engine off, pump the pedal half a dozen times to purge the stored vacuum - it should rise slightly higher with each stroke. Next, hold the pedal down with light pressure and start the engine, the pedal should drop slightly under the pressure - maybe an inch or so - if that does not happen you have a booster related problem.

Ok, rears are all done... Did this, nothing happens when I start the car :/

Can I get it reconditioned (booster) or would I be better off getting a new one?

If you are in a thrifty mood, a trip to the salvage yard might provide a cheap solution. Otherwise, I would go remanufactured or - if available, new. If you love your coily, the other choices are the good ones...

Check the vacuum lines make sure the line from the booster to the intake manifold is connected and not blocked - disconnect the line at the booster end, there should be "suction" with the engine idling.

If you have vacuum there I would suggest replacing the booster.

Should be able to bolt in a V6 vitara booster for maximum boostiness

Does anyone know if they are interchangeable between a coily and a leafy? can you get them rebuilt..?
